PESHAWAR
A delegation of artists and students from University of Peshawar (UoP) paid a visit to the Rashakai Special Economic Zone.
According to a statement issued here, the visit was organized by the China Media Group, the largest media group of the People’s Republic of China (China Media Group) and China Study Center at UoP.
During the visits, the participants received a comprehensive briefing on the Rashakai Special Economic Zone, various projects and initiatives undertaken for the economic development of the province.
Coordinator of the SEZ, Ahsan Laiq, informed the participants about the importance of the zone as well as its positive impacts on the economic and social sectors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The delegates were also given a site visit of the Rashakai SEZ and informed about the ongoing and under-construction projects of different industries and other development activities.
The Coordinator informed that the economic zone is important due to its location and after establishment of various industries, it would usher economic activities in the province.
The participants asked various questions from the coordinator about the different projects under the Rashakai SEZ and lauded the efforts of the Chinese Government, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development Company for the construction of Rashkai Special Economic Zone.
Later on, the China Media Group presented souvenirs to the students of the UoP and artists.
