PESHAWAR
Armed assailants on Thursday attacked a Federal Constabulary post at Singar Fort in Samana area, badly injuring Subedar Rehmatullah. According to police, the attackers opened fire on the security post. As a result Subedar Rehmatullah was critically injured and later shifted to the DHQ Hangu. However, he succumbed to his injuries and embraced martyrdom. Preliminary reports suggest that the attackers used sniper fire during the assault. Due to excessive bleeding while being transported to the hospital, Subedar Rehmatullah could not survive.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the perpetrators.
