SHIKARPUR: The leaders and members of the Shikarpur Union of Journalists recorded a protest demonstration under the leadership of President Agha Israr Pathan on Saturday. The protesting journalists expressed grief over the murder of a journalist Athar Matin, arrest of Mohsin Baig and torture ban on a private news channel. The local journalists of Shikarpur participated in the protest in a large number. Addressing on the occasion, Agha Israr Pathan said that the journalists are performing their duties under serious threat to their lives due to which the concerned authorities need to take steps in this regard. They demanded arrest of the accused men in the murder of Athar Matin and attack on Iqrar-ul-Hassan. He added that the journalists will continue their services without any fear or favor. The PFUJ will be compelled to widen protest if justice and protection is not provided to the journalists. Our Correspondent
