PESHAWAR: The district administration and police in Peshawar have arrested several suppliers involved in supplying meat from dead animals. The operation was conducted late at night, during which a large quantity of the illegal meat was seized. According to Assistant Commissioner (AC) Peshawar Cantt on Thursday, strict action is being taken against those involved in this heinous activity. During the latest raid in the jurisdiction of the Western Police Station, authorities caught another group attempting to distribute contaminated meat to various hotels in the city. Acting on a tip-off, the Assistant Commissioner, along with the Gharbi Police team, intercepted a vehicle loaded with meat from dead animals. The suspects were taken into custody on the spot. Police confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway to trace others involved in this illegal trade. The district administration has pledged to completely eliminate this harmful and unethical practice from the region. APP
