District Police Officer (DPO) Waqas Rafique has urged citizens to contact him directly if they face unnecessary delays or obstacles in the registration of First Information Reports (FIRs) at any police station, assuring immediate action on complaints.
In a public message issued on Saturday, the DPO said Police Facilitation Centres had been established for public convenience and any difficulty in obtaining clearance certificates, driving licences or other police services should be reported to his office for timely resolution.
He shared his official contact number, 0346-1119603, for citizens to reach him without hesitation.
DPO Rafique also reminded the public that the provincial government’s Right to Public Service Commission remained active to safeguard citizens’ rights, where grievances regarding service delivery could be formally lodged.
“The vision of Swabi Police is not limited to law enforcement,” he said. “Our aim is to win public trust, promote courtesy, and address citizens’ problems as our own responsibility.”
He added that all police officers and personnel had been issued clear instructions to deal with the public with respect, patience and professionalism, noting that “public confidence is the real strength of the police.”
The DPO appealed to citizens to approach the police without fear, reiterating that the Swabi Police was committed to public service, protection, and maintaining peace in the district.
