DAMASCUS: The Syrian Petroleum Company has begun implementing an environmental project to treat water produced alongside oil at several fields, including Al-Taim, Al-Azbeh and Al-Mazraah, as part of efforts to reduce the environmental impact of production operations. Safwan Sheikh Ahmed, Director of Institutional Communication at the company, told SANA that the project treats the water according to specialized technical standards before reinjecting it into wells to enhance reservoir pressure and improve production efficiency, combining environmental and technical benefits.
