Tarar reaffirms Pak’s support for Kashmiris

Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, on Wednesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir serves as a reminder of Pakistan’s continued solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for their fundamental rights.
In his message issued on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, the minister said the people of Jammu and Kashmir had been facing decades of hardship and deprivation of their basic human rights.
He stressed that human rights are universal and inalienable, and that every individual is entitled to dignity, equality, freedom and equal protection under the law.
Senator Tarar said that a just, peaceful and lasting resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute should be achieved in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. He reiterated that Pakistan would continue to extend its moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister urged the international community to play an effective role in ensuring the protection of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir and to support efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region.
