Tarin elected Senate member

Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin on Monday was elected as member of upper house of parliament after winning the election for Senate seat after bagging 87 votes.
According to unofficial results, Shaukat Tarin grabbed the Senate seat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after securing 87 votes. As many as 122 members of KP Assembly cast their votes.
Seat was vacated by PTI senator from KP Ayub Afridi ostensibly to make way for PM Advisor on Finance Shaukat Tarin to become a senator.
Tarin is expected to be made Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue after being elected member of Senate.
