PESHAWAR
Acting Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani said on Wednesday that appropriate guidance was the first requirement needed to be acquired by fresh graduates of universities.
Talented youths were the assets of the country and the government took all possible measures to make the standards of higher education institutions at par with the developed countries.
Acting Governor KP expressed these views while addressing the 15th convocation of Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology. In the convocation, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani distributed degrees and gold medals to 103 graduates who graduated from the university. The degree recipients included PhD, MS/MPhil, Master’s, Bachelor’s and Associate Diploma graduates in various disciplines.
He said “we should plan to move towards modern and technical education so the youth do not face difficulties in getting employment, along with education”.
Mushtaq Ghani maintained that special attention was needed in the field of research and skilled based education.
He urged the fresh graduates of the university that parents and teachers play a key role in future guidance and asked them to continue to struggle for the betterment of society and country with the help of skills and education.
Sarhad University Vice Chancellor Dr Salimur Rahman, members of the Board of Governors and parents of students also participated in the ceremony.
