Temporary cattle market to be established at sector I-11

ISLAMABAD (Online): Temporary Municipal Cattle Market would be established at sector I-12/1 of Islamabad which shall remain functional from 1st Zil Hajj to 13th Zil Hajj to facilitate the residents from the twin cities of Rawalpindi / Islamabad and surrounding areas for Eid ul Azha.
Directorate of Municipal Administration has bid out temporary Municipal Cattle Market for Rs.23.5 million.
The concerned formations have been directed to ensure proper sanitation system, provision of uninterrupted water supply, proper lighting arrangements and provision of other basic facilities at the Temporary Municipal Cattle Market.
Furthermore, ambulance service would remain deputed to cope with any untoward incident.
Furthermore, a veterinary doctor will be also deputed at Municipal Cattle Market while Directorate of Health Services have been directed to make arrangements of anti-bacterial / anti-viral spray at Municipal Cattle Market on daily basis from 1st Zihajj to 13th Zilhajj.
Moreover, the Directorate of Municipal Administration, Enforcement and Environment Wing has been directed to ensure that there will be no illegal sale / purchase of sacrificial animals in other parts of the city except the approved site, which has been auctioned for temporary Municipal Cattle Market.
Directorate of Municipal Administration have been further directed to ensure effective monitoring for charging the prescribed entry fee for all kind of sacrificial animals so that the people could buy the sacrificial animals of their choice without any hassle in prices at the temporary Municipal Cattle Market.
