ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Standing Committee on Climate Change discussed and passed “The Pakistan Climate Change Bill, 2016” (Government Bill) but the bill was delayed by Minister Climate Change over suggestion of a member.
The National Assembly Standing Committee on Climate Change was held in the Parliament House on Tuesday.
The NA body discussed and passed “The Pakistan Climate Change Bill, 2016” (Government Bill) but the Minister Climate Change agreed on request of a committee member, MNA Murad Saeed to go through the proposed legislation and will inform his point of view on the same later on.
The members who attended the meeting included MNAs Malik Ihtebar Khan, Salman Hanif, Ms. Shahnaz Saleem, Ms. Maiza Hameed, Murad Saeed, Ms. Mussarat Ahmed Zeb, Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan, Ms. Naeema Kishwer Khan and Minister for Climate Change (Ex-officio Member).
