DPO Khyber says the attack also left three cops critically injured

A suicide bomber blew himself up at a police check post in the Takhta Baig area of Khyber Tribal district, killing at least three police constables.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Imran Khan, the attack left at least three policemen injured.
Following the attack, police officials claimed, a large contingent of police rushed to spot and cordon the vicinity of the check post off.
The injured cops have been shifted to hospital in Peshawar.
Sources claimed that the suicide bomber attempted to enter the check post and a hand grenade was also hurled at the above-mentioned check post.
DPO added that policemen opened fire on the suicide bomber and suddenly he blew himself up, leaving three policemen dead and three critically injured.
Police officials have claimed that a number of terrorists have managed to fled and search operation has been launched to arrest them.
