ISLAMABAD
The three-day Centaurus Global Tourism Expo 2025 began on Saturday at The Centaurus Mall here bringing together a diverse mix of national and international tourism stakeholders under one roof.
The event aims to promote global travel, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation through tourism.
The global tourism expo was inaugurated by key dignitaries, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, CEO of The Centaurus Group Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, President of IDA Anjum Aqeel Khan, Member of the National Assembly, and Rana Aftab, Managing Director of PTDC, along with other esteemed guests from the diplomatic, corporate and tourism sectors.
Speaking at the event, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said Pakistan is rapidly becoming a global hub for tourism. He emphasized the government’s commitment to accommodating increasing numbers of domestic and international tourists, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He also highlighted ongoing initiatives such as the Shandur polo festival and other cultural events as part of efforts to promote the positive image of Pakistan on the global stage.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan stressed the immense potential of Pakistan’s tourism sector, noting that the country could generate billions in revenue if the right strategies are implemented.
He urged for greater government seriousness and support, adding that strategic investments in infrastructure, sustainable tourism practices and international marketing could unlock major economic benefits and elevate Pakistan’s global tourism profile.
The Centaurus Global Tourism Expo 2025 provides a platform for tourism professionals, government bodies and travelers to network, collaborate and explore new horizons.
The event will continue through June 29, offering visitors a unique chance to engage with global travel brands, experience cultural showcases and discover new travel destinations.
