Covid-19 cases surge

Three educational institutions, including a postgraduate college, has been shut down after 14 fresh cases of coronavirus reported in the district. According to an official in the district’s coronavirus team, The number of fresh covid-19 cases has risen to 14, including most female patients. According to the officials, the educational activities in Government Post Graduate College Karak, Government Girls Degree College Kark and Government High School City Kark has been closed for a limited period after the test results from the students were positive.
According to the report of the authorities, samples have been collected from around 4,000 people belonging to different walks of life, including students studying in educational institutions, while tests are being carried out on people possibly infected with the virus.
Bashir Khattak, who oversaw the overall situation of coronavirus in the district on behalf of the health department, said that people should try to ensure implementation of SOPs during their private life including duties so that we as a society do not face severe restrictions again.
It is pertinent to mention that the provincial government has also sought a report from the Peshawar district administration regarding the fresh coronavirus cases. The government mulling to place lockdown at various business markets, inter-district transport stations, and marriage halls.
