PESHAWAR: Police have arrested three suspected members of a gang allegedly involved in motorcycle lifting and mobile phone theft during an operation in the city, officials said on Monday. The arrests were made on the instructions of SP City Shahid Adnan under the supervision of DSP Yakka Toot Circle Noor Haider Khan. The operation was led by SHO Agha Mir Jani Shah Tariq Jamal and Science College police post in-charge Zeeshan Khan along with other police personnel. The suspects, identified as Haider, Sartaj, son of Abdul Hakeem, and Haroon, son of Aman, residents of Afghanistan, Khyber district and Peshawar, respectively, police said. According to police, the suspects were allegedly involved in a number of motorcycle lifting and mobile phone theft incidents in areas including Afridi Abad, Dir Colony and Pir Dast. Police said one stolen motorcycle and two mobile phones were recovered during the operation.
