BADIN: According to details, fire erupted in the huts of Darhoon Mal Meghwar resident of Dei Taluka Tando Bago district Badin which spread very quickly and destroyed at least three locally made huts. The reported fire broke out due to a short circuit and heat of the installed Solar System and immediately engulfed three thatched houses reducing them all into ashes. The poor laborer, Darhoon Mal has ten family members in his family and only a he was a sole of generating income through photography and labor work. In his family, three are innocent daughters along with five little sons who are enrolled in a nearby primary School managed by TCF. Due to the fire, all valuable assets of the poor family including his daughter’s ornament, Jewelry, clothes, crockery, chairs, tables, cameras, cots, beds and other precious materials including three locally made huts have been turned into ashes. The wife of Darhoon Mal along with her children tried her best to extinguish the fire by throwing the water and sand in the blazing fire but despite all efforts, they were not able to protect their precious valuables. The poor villager, Darhoon Mal along with his other family members spent days and nights in the open land and appealed to relevant authorities, NGOs, and benevolent, caring and kind individuals to help him rebuild his house and rehabilitate back to their usual life. Emergency shelter kits, food packages and nonfood items such as cooking utensils to cook their food, beds, and cash amount are immediate requirements of the affected family. SAWAN KHASKHELI
