Three members of criminal gang held; cash, valuables and weapons recovered

Islamabad capital police Tarnol police team apprehended three accused involved in looting citizens at gunpoint and recovered motorbikes, cash, mobile phones and weapons with ammunition used in crime from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Tarnol police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending three wanted members of a street criminal gang. The accused were identified as Muhammad Ishaq, Naeem Khan and Khaista Rehman. The accused were involved in looting citizens at gunpoint in various areas of Tarnol, Noon and Naseerabad police station jurisdiction. Police team also recovered motorbikes, mobile phones, cash and weapons with ammunition used in crime from their possession.
During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to being involved in firing on police teams and numerous criminal activities and injuring citizens by firing them on resistance. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
CPO/ DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari appreciated the performance of the police team and further directed to intensify the crackdown against such elements.
