Time to resolve Kashmir dispute as per Kashmiris’ aspirations: Army

Paying tribute to the people of Kashmir for their resolve and valiant struggle, Chief of Amry Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday said it was time to end the human tragedy and resolve the Kashmir dispute as per aspirations of Kashmiri people and United Nations resolutions.
In a message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the army chief said the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) were braving the gravest human rights violations and lockdown, the media wing of armed forces, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) tweeted.
“Tribute to people of Kashmir, their resolve and valiant struggle, braving gravest human rights violations and lockdown in IIOJ&K under Indian occupation forces. Time to end this human tragedy and resolve Kashmir issue as per aspirations of people of J&K and UN resolutions,” the ISPR tweeted.
Solidarity walks were held in Islamabad, Muzafarabad, Gilgit and in four provincial headquarters. Human chains have been formed at Kohala Bridge, Mangla Bridge and Rawalakot.
One minute silence was also observed at 10:00 am across the country to express harmony with the Kashmiris. A flag hoisting ceremony was also carried out in Ziyarat.
The Day was observed to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir. President Dr. Arif Alvi led a rally in Islamabad to reaffirm the nation’s support for the oppressed Kashmiri brethren.
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, several ministers and government officials were in attendance at the rally.
