Timely, fair and impartial election crucial for the country: Faiq

Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party said holding of timely, free, fair and impartial election is imperative for the country.
Shah banished echoes of delay in the election, what he said unnecessary postponement would cause further political chaos and instability, which under the prevailing circumstances, unaffordable for the country.
The ATP chief urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to take prompt decisions as an uncertain situation prevailed among people, which should be pulled out immediately.
He said only statements won’t be enough, however, he insisted the government and election commission make sure that the election should be held as scheduled in the country, he asserted. “Let the democracy get flourish”,
Faiq was talking to various delegations and in connection with a mass contact campaign during his visit to Punjab, said in a press release here on Thursday.
The party leader said the politics of vendetta was unfavorable for the country that’s a major hindrance in the way national unity and progress.
He said NAB and other institutions shouldn’t be used for targeting political opponents, asserting that political differences must be set aside to sort out national crisis.
He said his party wanted to eliminate the tug of war for power which is a major hurdle in national progress.
Shah said many issues, including poverty and unemployment, could be solved, but the crisis can’t be solved amid political leg-pulling.
Politics of hate, prejudice, and arrogance must be shunned to ensure a level playing field for everyone, he stressed.
Shah said rulers are facing consequences of the deeds as whatever they have sown now they are reaping.
He maintained they have done everything, even discredited the national institutions for sake of political survival and vested interests.
Faiq was of the view that neighbouring countries have gained rapid progress in every sector but Pakistan is lagging behind in all sectors.
He said it is a dilemma that Pakistan has deliberately kept backwards in all sectors.
He said there was not initiated mega progress to create job opportunities.
