MURREE: The tourists who gathered on Mall Road in Murree to celebrate New Year faced police baton charge in which several sightseers got injured and an ill-fated tourist lost his eyesight due to police violence. A video clip surfaced on social media in which it could be seen that police start beating up tourists with sticks who were gathered on Mall Road in Murree to greet New Year. The police attack triggered a stampede amongst them. Many sightseers got hurt by the police baton charge. Most unfortunately, a tourist lost his eyesight during the police’s highhandedness.
