PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Tourism, Culture, Archaeology and Museums Malik Adeel Iqbal on Monday urged tourists to strictly follow safety precautions during the monsoon season to avoid accidents caused by flash floods, landslides and heavy rainfall. He advised tourists to avoid bathing or entering rivers, waterfalls, lakes and other fast-flowing water bodies, warning that water levels could rise suddenly during the monsoon season and pose a serious threat to life. Malik Adeel Iqbal also urged visitors to avoid travelling to landslide-prone areas, mountain slopes and roads affected by adverse weather. He advised tourists to obtain the latest weather updates and travel advisories through the Tourism Helpline 1422 before starting their journeys. DLP Report
