Delegation of Traders Cantt Board led by Chairman Mian Muhammad Akram Maher called on Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman at Governor House Lahore today(Wednesday).
During the meeting, the delegation apprised Governor Punjab about the problems of the traders of Cantt.
Speaking on this occasion, Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that the business community has an important role in the development of the country.
Continuity of economic policies and political stability are very important for the development of the country, Punjab Governor went on, the business community is playing an important role in the country’s economy by paying taxes.
Furthermore, the business activities create employment opportunities in the country, he added. He said that Muslim League (N) has always taken steps for the welfare of the business community. Governor Punjab said that the economy of the country will bolster with the promotion of trade.
On this occasion, the delegation informed the Governor of Punjab about the problems faced by them including encroachments, broken road, faulty sewerage system non-availability of cemetery space and tax issues. The Governor of Punjab assured the delegation to send recommendations to the relevant departments to solve the problems.
