Traders delegation visits CPO; meets ICCPO

A delegation of business representatives met Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan at the Central Police Office Islamabad.
The delegation apprised the ICCPO about the security issues being faced in the commercial centers. The ICCPO issued orders to resolve the problems of the traders on a priority basis. The delegation appreciated the performance of the Islamabad Capital Police in crime fighting as well.
ICCPO informed the delegation that Islamabad Capital Police is taking all possible measures to ensure the security of the Islamabad citizens.
In his address to the delegation, he said that it is the achievement of the Islamabad Capital Police that commercial centers and markets were never closed, even during law and order situations.
He assured the delegation that the Islamabad Capital Police would ensure the full security of business centers and the elimination of crime.
He issued orders to install surveillance cameras in commercial centers and connect them with the centralized system of Safe City Islamabad.
He also appreciated the role of representatives of the business community in the conciliation committees.
He said that the Islamabad Capital Police, with the help of the business community, also solved the social problems in the federal capital in an efficient way. On this occasion, he directed senior police officers to crack down on the accused and professional beggars involved in drug peddling and immoral activities. He directed the police officers to take legal action with the district administration to remove encroachments from business centers.
He further briefed the delegation that the Islamabad Capital Police is taking legal action against foreigners living illegally in the federal capital. He directed all DPOs to keep in touch with traders and resolve their problems on a priority basis.
