Competitions of the ongoing Traditional Games at District Karak ended after joyful moments with hundreds of spectators witnessing the volleyball, kabaddi and other Traditional Games event at Karak Sports Complex.
For the first time in history, traditional sports were held in Karak district in which the spectators paid homage to DG Sports KP Khalid Khan and his team. Administrative Officer Irshad Khan and Officer Safdar Fahim were also present.
Six clubs participated in the javelin throw. Among them were Khattak Club, Khattak Horse Club, Super Marwat Horse Club, Khushal Khan Horse Club. Khushal Horse Club won the first position and Khattak Horse Club won the second position in the competitions including Kabaddi, volleyball and other traditional Games.
The Takht-e-Nasrati team won the first position and Karak won the second position. In the end, prizes were distributed among the players.
From June 19, there will be competitions in archery, stone lifting, hiking, shotball and gilli danda. Haripur will have Kabaddi, Stone Lifting, Bull Race, Gatka, Dog and Rabbit Race and Javelin Throwing competitions from June 21-22. Danda, Bilori, Pato Gol Garam and Volleyball competitions will be held on June 24 in Lower Kohistan. Traditional Kabaddi, Gully Danda, Stone Throwing, Sakhai, Gatka, Stone Lifting, Kabaddi and Tug of War competitions will be held on June 28 at Abbottabad.
