Traditional sports competitions in North Waziristan have come to an end

The traditional sports competitions in North Waziristan organized by the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wednesday come to an end with a large number of players playing traditional sports enthusiastically participating.
Holding of Traditional Games was aimed at sending a message to the world that the integrated districts are peaceful in sports and other respects. The Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies have maintained peace.
Deputy Commissioner North Waziristan Shahid Ali Khan was the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner Daulat Khan who along with Deputy Director Sports Jamshed Baloch distributed prizes among the players.
District Police Officer Rafi Dawar, Chief Coach Shafqatullah and Administrative Officer Irshad Khan were also present.
In these competitions Razzaq XI won first, Miranshah XI second, Abrar and Mohsin first in musical chair, Rehman and Wajid second, Razmak Warrior in Gali Danda, Zaheeruddin first in Pooch Pooch and Shahid in Sakhe.
In the first round, Aftab Rehman won the first position in Goli Danda. Despite the security situation in North Waziristan, the traditional sports were organized in a peaceful and efficient manner.
Individuals of different ages including children and youth participated in these Traditional Games which were played at the local level. Such excellent competitions were also held in North Waziristan and provided a good atmosphere to the people of the region.
