Faqirabad Police has said that transgender Tahir, alias Ghazal, resident of Tehkal Peshawar, who received multiple wounds in a knife attack, succumbed to injuries.
According to preliminary details, police station Faqirabad received information about the incident that happened in a Plaza near Ring Road Abasyn University.
As soon as the information was received, ASP Faqirabad Syed Talal Ahmad Shah and SHO Faqirabad police station Kamran Khan along with the crime scene staff immediately reached the spot and examined the crime scene closely.
The police shifted the body for post-mortem, while in order to trace the accused and involved in the incident, the police under the supervision of ASP Syed Talal Ahmed Shah has started a comprehensive investigation on various aspects.
ASP Syed Talal Ahmad Shah has also held a meeting with transgender community and assured them that the case will be thoroughly investigated and the involved characters will be brought to justice as soon as possible.
He made it clear that Peshawar Police is using all available resources to protect the transgender community
