A tree plantation drive was organized by the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi at Government Associate College for Women, Gowalmandi. Students and teachers of the college actively participated in the campaign and planted various types of saplings.
During the plantation drive, the students and teachers not only planted saplings but also expressed their commitment to their proper care and protection. The participants said that trees and plants play a vital role in reducing environmental pollution, promoting a clean and healthy environment, and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi is organizing plantation activities at educational institutions with the objective of creating awareness among the younger generation about the importance of trees and plants, environmental protection, and the promotion of a green culture.
On the special instructions of Managing Director Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, plantation activities, improvement of green belts, beautification of parks, and other environmental initiatives are being carried out across the city. The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi is taking practical measures to transform Rawalpindi into a greener, healthier, and environmentally friendly city in line with the vision of the Government of Punjab.
On the occasion, officers and staff of the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi appreciated the students and teachers for their cooperation and participation in the plantation drive. They said that plantation is not merely about planting a sapling; its protection and proper nurturing are equally a collective responsibility.
