PESHAWAR: Assistant Commissioner Sameer Hussain Leghari on Thursday inaugurated a tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling in Kohat Development Authority (KDA) Phase 2 Park. The third phase of the tree planting campaign has been launched in Kohat under the Clean and Green Campaign of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. Assistant Commissioner Sameer Hussain Leghari, Project Director Urban Area Development Authority Syed Anwar, Deputy Director Syed Nawab, Prof. Dr. Umar Hayat Mufti Mohammad Farid, President of KDA Welfare Society and people from civil society attended the ceremony. Special prayers were also offered for the success of the Clean and Green Campaign. APP
Talking to media, Assistant Commissioner Sameer Hussain Leghari said that last year innumerable saplings were planted in the district under Clean and Green Campaign and this year too, the drive would be made a success.
Syed Anwar, Project Director, Urban Area Development Authority also spoke on the occasion and appealed to citizens to plant more trees to make the tree planting campaign a success.
