Tribesmen seek restoration of previous policy at Torkham Border

The tribesmen of Landi Kotal demanded of the authorities concerned to adopt pro-people policy and restore previous policy at Torkham Border to facilitate the locals and the Afghan citizens movement at the crossing.
Addressing to a press conference here in Landi Kotal press club on Sunday local leader of Jamiat Ulemae Islam, Fazalrehman Qari Nazeem Gul, chief of Insaf Labor wing Amir Nawaz, ex-labor union leader in Torkham Farman Shinwari and elite of Nujawanane Qabail Israr Shinwari said that conflict of authority has broken out among Federal Intelligence Agency, NADRA and National Logistic Cell that has suffered the locals, Afghan citizens and especially thousands of laborers have been left jobless.
Earlier, a token was issued to the locals Identity card holders and laborers to easily cross the border but recently with imposition of strict crossing policy, they have been deprived of the facility that is injustice to them.
They demanded of the government implement the former scheme so that the locals, laborers and the driver communities can easily cross the border to earn livelihood for their families.
They also urged the various departments in the Torkham to shun their differences in the best interest of the people and functional its due authorities, as per granted by the law.
