Turkish ambassador calls on Governor-KP

Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Mehmet Pachaji on Friday called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali at Governor House Peshawar.
Honorary Consul General of Turkey Salim Saifullah was also present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed effective steps to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the countries.
Governor Haji Ghulam Ali on this occasion maintained that relations between the nations have increased manifold as Turkey is our brother Islamic country, Pak-Turkish people are bound with each other in a strong relationship of friendship and love.
In the recent floods, the Turkish government and on behalf of the people, we are grateful for the assistance of the people of Pakistan.
On this occasion, the governor proposed to the ambassador of Turkey that in order to promote trade activities, prominent business delegations of Pakistan should visit Turkey twice a year so that the business community here can benefit from Turkey’s business capabilities.
He said that he himself had visited Turkey with a trade delegation and recognized the potential for the development of the industry in Turkey.
Governor said that Turkey should establish Pak-Turk Medical College and Engineering College and University in Peshawar like Pak-Turk School to increase the love between the people of both sides.
The provincial government and the district government are privatizing some hospitals in Peshawar.
The Turkish ambassador welcomed the proposals of the governor on cooperation in the commercial and educational sectors and said that commercial and educational activities will be promoted.
