Launch of two-day digital media reporting and verification workshop under the auspices of Press Information Department Peshawar and Pakistan Information Center.
A two-day training workshop on Digital Media Reporting and Verification under the auspices of Press Information Department Peshawar and Pakistan Information Center began in Peshawar. The objective of this training is to further enhance the professional skills of the journalist community in the field of digital media reporting and verification.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Deputy Director PID Peshawar Romana Asad Khan highlighted the importance of organizing the training workshops for the grooming of journalists. Romana Asad Khan said that journalists should adapt themselves to the requirements of the modern era and use modern technology to ensure timely, purposeful and accurate news to the public.
She described the workshop as very useful especially for young journalists. She said that through this workshop they will not only become aware of the uses of modern technology but will also get an opportunity to learn from experienced senior journalists.
Romana Asad Khan also thanked the participants and the journalists who participated as speakers in the workshop including senior journalist Muhammad Faheem and Associate Professor Journalism Department Peshawar Ali Imran.
It is pertinent to mention that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is organizing a comprehensive training workshop for journalists in different areas of the country including Islamabad, Peshawar, Karachi, Gilgit-Baltistan, Lahore, Azad Kashmir and Quetta through its regional PID offices and Pakistan Information Center, which will further strengthen the professional skills of journalists
