Two days karate trials for National Games begins

Two-day trials for the selection of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Karate team for the 34th National Games to be held in Quetta got under way here at Hayatabad Sports Complex, Peshawar on Tuesday.
There were more than 100 players, both male and female, turned up for the two-day trials under the aegis of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Karate Association with international coach Shah Faisal monitoring the trials along with other selectors.
The kids will make their dreams come true for the National Games by making a place in the provincial team, the trials are being held under the supervision of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Karate Association.
Shah Faisal, who is also administrator of Hayatabad Sports Complex, said that due opportunities have been given to both male and female players so that they could select a strong Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team.
He said there are different weight categories and the winner of each category will join the provincial team and represent the province in the forthcoming 34th National Games. He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa players have good chances of winning medals in both female and male categories.
