SIALKOT: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Friday sealed two food units and fined four outlets Rs. 240,000 during a crackdown against food fraud. According to PFA spokesperson, the operation led by Additional Director General Operations Amina Rafiq,targeted areas including Pasrur Road,Wazirabad Road,Gohadpur and Rangpura. Inspectors seized 150 kg of adulterated spices, 150 kg of substandard meat and unhygienic cooking oil. The inspections revealed poor sanitation, insect infestation and the lack of expiry dates on food items. The PFA reaffirmed its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy on health hazards and pledged continued monitoring to ensure public safety and quality food across Punjab. News Agency
