PESHAWAR
United Business Group, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa expressed concern over the abduction of president of the Waziristan Chamber Saifur Rehman and customs officer. UBG provincial leadership urged government and law enforcement agencies to take concrete steps for safe and early recovery of the kidnapped president of the Waziristan Chamber and customs official.
Ghazanfar Bilour, provincial chairman of the UBG and businessman forum leader, and Haji Muhamamd Afzal, provincial general secretary of the UBG in a joint statement issued here on Saturday, said government and security institutions must utilize all resources to ensure protection and provision of a peaceful environment to the business community.
They went on to say that business community has played a pivotal role in economic stability and progress, if the state couldn’t provide conducive and safe atmosphere so the flight of capital is already being rampant from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and rest of businessmen will force to pack up business and industries from K-P and shift them other provinces.
UBG provincial leaders maintained that the incident of kidnapping of the Waziristan chamber president had created great unrest among the business community, essentially, this unfortunate act also an attempt and heinous conspiracy to sabotage peace-building efforts, initiated by government and law enforcement institutions.
Therefore, they urged government and law enforcement agencies to ensure safe and early recovery of the abducted president of the Waziristan Chamber and custom officer.
