PESHAWAR: Uncontrollable inflation in Peshawar, prices of fruits including non-perishable items beyond purchasing power of the people with ginger hitting all time high and is being sold on Rs. 1400 per kg while garlic is being sold on Rs. 570 per kilogram. When visiting the vegetables and fruits markets, the prices of the vegetables and fruits have reached beyond the purchasing power of the people while the officials concerned of the district administrations have failed to provide food items on the rates issued by them. Onion 100, Tomato 90, Cuttlefish 130, Green Chilli 120 and Capsicum 200, Ginger 1400, Garlic 570, Lemon 200, Potato 140, Cauliflower 110, Bhandi 130, Tenda 150 and Karela 100 per kg are being sold.
