PESHAWAR
The 8th senate meeting of the University of Haripur held at Governor House Peshawar on Wednesday.
The Provincial Minister for Higher Education Kamran Bangash chaired the meeting.
The annual budget of the University for 2021-22 unanimously approved.
The Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University Dr Anwar-ul-r Hussain Gilani presented performance details to the meeting.
The members of the syndicate discussed the overall performance of the and reviewed the future plans and annual report of the university.
VC University of Haripur Dr Anwar-ul- Hussain Gilani informed the meeting that the university has more than 76 percent faculty members consisting of M.Phils and Ph.Ds while the university has also completed 38 research projects.
He said that the number of PhD faculty has increased from 19 to 214 which have ensured the provision of quality education in the university.
The annual budget of the University 2020-21 and 2021-22 was also presented in the meeting, on which various suggestions for improvement in the university budget were also presented by the senate members.
The meeting also approved the restructuring of the academic program of the university on the condition of removing the legal points of some senators regarding creation of six faculties and 30 departments.
The meeting was attended by Member Provincial Assembly from Haripur and Provincial Minister Arshad Ayub besides representatives of the Finance Department, Establishment Department and other members of the Senate.
