The US Export-Import (EXIM) Bank has approved a $1.25 billion investment for mining projects in Pakistan, with planned project financing expected to reach up to $2 billion in the coming years. US Chargé d’Affaires Netley Baker said the financial support will strengthen the US-Pakistan partnership and significantly boost economic activities in Balochistan. He added that the investment will further enhance bilateral economic cooperation, provide local communities and Pakistani partners with access to modern technology, investment, and new opportunities, and create employment prospects in both countries.
Baker noted that the Trump administration had made such economic partnerships a key component of US diplomacy. ONLINE
