Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib has said that the use of Electronic Voting Machines, during the election process, will close the door of fake mandate forever. Talking to a private news channel on Sunday, he said the opposition rejected the Electronic Voting Machines without watching and understanding its functions and performance.
Farrukh Habib said the opposition parties only want to promote fraud and rigging in the electoral process as they did in past.
He said it is the responsibility of the Election Commission to conduct free, fair and transparent election and in this regard, it has constituted a technical committee to check the performance of Electronic Voting Machines.
