Voting rights for overseas Pakistanis constitution, democracy’s victory: Sarwar


Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar on Wednesday said granting right to vote for overseas Pakistanis was a victory of democracy and constitution.
Talking to overseas Pakistanis at Governor house, Sarwar lauded Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) state government’s decision to give voting right to overseas Pakistanis.
Governor Punjab said that when PTI Government came to power, Pakistan was on the brink of bankruptcy, but the PTI Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, through its successful economic policies, not only saved the country from economic bankruptcy but also steered it out of economic crisis and put it on the path to success, adding that now all international organizations are recognizing Pakistan’s economic development .
Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that government is providing relief to the people through Ehsas program and other schemes to deal with issues like inflation.
“Providing basic amenities including health and education to the people is the top priority of the government for which the federal and Punjab governments are mobilizing all resources.” Sarwar said.
Punjab Governor said that Prime Minister Imran Khan always makes the impossible possible and the PTI Government has fulfilled its promise of giving voting right to the overseas Pakistanis. He said that the Overseas Commission is working in the Center and Punjab to solve the problems of Overseas Pakistanis.
