In a strong show of unity and patriotism, a peaceful national solidarity walk was organized at Qissa Khwani Bazaar under the auspices of the District Administration Peshawar. The walk was held in response to continued provocations against Pakistan’s sovereignty and aimed to reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to defend the motherland. Led by Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Sarmad Saleem Akram, the walk saw participation from senior administrative officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rao Hashim Azeem, Assistant Commissioner Dawood Saleemi, Additional Assistant Commissioner Syed Basharat Hussain, and Additional Assistant Commissioner Aamir Shahzad.
A large number of citizens, public representatives, and members of various business organizations also took part, proudly carrying national flags, placards, and banners expressing solidarity with the Pakistan Army.
Slogans such as “Long live the Pakistan Army,” “The nation is with the army,” and “Death to India” echoed through the historic bazaar.
Addressing the participants, DC Sarmad Saleem Akram said, “This peaceful walk reflects the collective resolve of the Pakistani nation. We stand united behind our armed forces and send a clear message to the enemy that any aggression will be met with a strong and united response.” He further commended the spirit of the people and the business community, calling it a powerful symbol of national unity. “The enemy wants to divide us, but today’s gathering shows the strength of our solidarity,” he said.
Business leaders also addressed the gathering, thanking the district administration for organizing the event. “Today’s walk is like a public referendum against the enemy. We stand with our armed forces and are ready to sacrifice everything for our country,” they declared.
The event concluded with special prayers for the safety and security of Pakistan, the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, and the freedom of the people of Kashmir
