Islamabad: Islamabad capital police Industrial Area police team has arrested a wanted member of a bike lifter gang and recovered five stolen motorbikes from his possession, a police public relations officer said. e said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city. ccording to the details, the Industrial Area police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a former jailbird bike lifter gang involved in bike lifting. The accused was identified as Faizan. Police team also recovered five stolen motorbikes from his possession. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed his involvement in numerous bike lifting incidents in different areas of Islamabad. Cases were already registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. Senior police officials appreciated the performance of the police team and further directed the police teams to intensify efforts against criminals involved in cars and motorbikes lifting incidents. Safety of lives and property of the citizens is the prime responsibility of Islamabad capital police and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard. Our Correspondent
