ISLAMABAD
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said Monday his party wants democratic setup to prevail, adding that democracy can be strengthened only when it gets rid of money’s influence.
Talking to reporters here, the federal minister said government moved Supreme Court for the interpretation of article 63-A of constitution to strengthen democracy. He alleged that Members of National Assembly (MNAs) have been involved in betraying their own parties for the sake of money.
Federal Minister said the opposition has to show the required strength in National Assembly in order to oust Prime Minister Imran Khan from his office. He said PM Imran affectively represented public’s sentiments both nationally and globally.
