Foreign Minister and vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek Insaf Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, said that winds of change started blowing in Sindh and in upcoming general elections people will decide for better future by rejecting PPP.
He was addressing a grand public gathering in Tando Muhammad Khan while leading the Sindh Haqooq March on Friday along with President PTI Sindh Syed Ali Zaidi, general secretary Sindh Mubeen Jatoee and MNAs, MPA and other leaders of the party.
On the seventh day the march begun from Badin and reached Tando Muhammad Khan while passing by Talhar, Matli and other towns. A large number of people along with party workers warmly welcomed the Haqooq-e-Sindh March at various places en route by showering flowers, hoisting PTI flags and chanting slogans.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressing public gathering in Tando Muhammad Khan also condemned terrorist attack in a mosque of Peshawar and expressed grief on loss of precious life in the incident.
He said that as the foreign minister he knew the elements involved in the heinous acts of terrorism and who was providing resources for the purpose with nefarious designs aimed at destabilizing Pakistan.
Shah Mehmood said that Pakistani nation, armed forces, police and other law enforcing agencies with unified efforts defeated terrorists and rooted out menace of terrorism from the homeland and now Pakistan is on the path of economic growth with consolidation of economy and investment started pouring in.
But it is unacceptable to some antagonist forces and such incidents are being carried out to create uncertainty among the people, he observed adding that our political opponents were also trying to create uncertainty to prolong their rule and save them from accountability.
He said that only one side of picture was being presented before people of Sindh but after Haqooq-e-Sindh March unveiled other side of the picture. “I can only sympathize with Bilawal on what the people did in Multan as Bilawal has to address chairs there due to absence of people.
He said that people of Punjab, KPK, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir had already rejected PPP and now masses in Sindh also snubbed the party because they have been fed up of Zardari league.
Earlier, Shah Mehmood Qureshi while addressing a press conference in Badin said that people of Karachi entrusted confidence on Imran Khan in general elections 2018 and given heavy mandate to PTI. Haqooq-e-Sindh March will reach Karachi on March 6 and on the same day Bilawal would be marching towards Islamabad.
Enormous presence of PTI workers will once again prove that Karachi is stronghold of PTI, he said adding that PPP government could remove flags of PTI from Karachi but they could not subdue enthusiasm and resolve of PTI tigers.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said “Some PPP spokespersons were making statements that Qureshi was addressing empty chairs I am sending them footage of all the public gatherings of PTI so that they specially can see the reality.”
The FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed gratitude to foreign ministers of Poland, Romania and Hungary for their support in evacuation of Pakistani students from conflict hit Ukraine.
He said that law and order situation in Sindh was out of control and people were facing severe problems due to poor performance of PPP government. Now people of Sindh have awakened and aware residents of Badin have also broken the arrow, he said.
He said that PTI wanted to provide Health Card to people of Sindh so that they could avail better healthcare facilities amounting up to Rs. one million. People of Sindh must ask CM Sindh and PPP leadership why they were creating hurdles in issuance of Health Card in the province, he suggested.
Replying a question on fertilizer prices Mr. Qureshi said that federal government provided adequate natural gas to fertilizer manufacturing units to ensure sufficient production of essential agricultural input so that growers could be able to get fertilizers as requirement and efforts for enhancement of production of major crops could be supported.
He said that problem arisen due to black marketing and hoarding of fertilizer in Sindh. Despite that there was a significant difference in local and international prices, he noted.
Makhdoom Shah Mehmood said that after 18th constitutional amendment PPP could not blame the federation as in previous 14 years Sindh received Rs 8.9 trillion from federal government while an embezzlement of Rs. 1.4 trillion was reported in the funds.
In this age of information masses could see what the province received and how much of that amount was utilized for their welfare and development, he maintained adding that PPP did not announced provincial finance commission during their tenure and deprived local governments of their due share.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Inter-provincial coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza, speaking at the occasion said that Sindh government did not pay attention to education in Sindh during their 14 year long tenure. She said that not a single university, medical or professional college was established in district Badin even provincial education minister belongs to the district.
Federal Minister for Maritime affairs and Provincial president PTI Sindh Syed Ali Zaidi said that PPP started victimization of PTI workers in Sindh by registering false cases and grabbing of their lands.
Self acclaimed champions of democracy yesterday attacked media persons in Multan and damaged their cameras, he said adding that curbing the freedom of media is unacceptable and we condemn the act.
Grand Democratic Alliance leader Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza said that a large number of poor people of Badin warmly welcomed the Haqooq-e-Sindh March. He also assured his support to PTI and Prime Minister Imran Khan’s endeavors for welfare and uplift of deprived sections of society.
