Federal Minister for Industries and Production Syed Murtaza Mahmood said that We want to take the country forward by ensuring sustainable economic growth.
Pakistan needed a big increase in exports to meet its economic challenges and urged the business community, especially women entrepreneurs to play their part in boosting exports.
The private sector was the catalyst for economic growth and the government would facilitate them in promoting business activities which would help in reviving the economy.
The government was working hard to turn the economy around and hoped that the rupee would strengthen. He said this while talking to a delegation led by FPCCI Vice President Rafat Malik. Dr. Shehla Javed Akhtar Former Vice President FPCCI, Qaisara Sheikh Coordinator FPCCI Women Entrepreneur, and Sam Ali Dada President Lahore Women Chamber were included In the delegation.
Ms. Riffat Malik, Vice President of FPCCI, said that Women have been playing a pivotal role in the growth of the export-oriented industries & different sectors.
One aof the objectives of FPCCI is to unite businesswomen as well as women workers in order to create new opportunities for them and create new opportunities for them. government should support the to help encourage entrepreneurship among Women entrepreneurs. “FPCCI want to ensure that the women work with confidence and equal rights along with men in every sector of the economy.”
Vice President FPCCI, said that ignoring half of any country’s population is counterintuitive in promoting the economic growth of any economy.
The government of Pakistan should formulate policies for the promotion of women’s business stress on legislation for ease of doing business and providing a conducive environment to women for their economic empowerment.
The various technological innovations were being used in trade at that time, the understanding of which was necessary for women’s growth in businesses. Professional training of women in the e-commerce and IT sector including online business was very important to excel in modern businesses.
Riffat Malik VP of FPCCI said that There is a dire need to inculcate self-confidence and self-belief in the female youth leaders to improve the participation of women in the future of Pakistan’s economic stability. Women in Pakistan have infinite potential, they just need opportunities to channelizing their potential and talent into a successful future.
The economic empowerment of women requires legislation for ease of doing business and to provide them a conducive economic environment, she added.

He stressed productivity enhancement and competitiveness of SMEs in the local and global market to achieve sustainable development in Pakistan.
Highlighting the government’s efforts to support industrial development through a set of policies, the Federal Minister said that the government would provide relief to the industries and especially women entrepreneurs in the federal budget.
The federal budget will be a business-friendly budget. He highlighted that Government will take solid initiatives to utilize the potential of women entrepreneurs through NPO, SMEDA, TUSDEC, and other relevant MoIP organizations so that women entrepreneurs may excel in their relevant fields.
The government is focusing on entrepreneurial opportunities for sustainable employment growth, skill-based education, and engagement of youth and women in socio-economic affairs.
