Provincial Minister for Religious Affair, Auqaf and Hajj Adnan Qadri inaugurated reconstruction work on the Zakaria Masjid to Inzarei checkpoint 8.45 kilometer long most awaited road project on Thursday.
In this connection, a simple gathering was organized at the Zakria Chowk that was attended by Member National Assembly Iqbal Afridi besides officials and a large number of tribal elders and local workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The minister formally unveiled the plaque to formally commence construction work of the road.
Speaking to the media persons, the Provincial Minister Adnan Qadri and MNA Iqbal Afridi said that the project was launched to provide better travelling and communication facilities to the tribesmen.
The initiative is part of their government motto to develop rural areas and reduce hardships of the laymen.
Due to unavailability of funds from the Federal Government besides provincial government deficit, efforts would be made to initiate uplift schemes across the district, they added.
It is to be mentioned here that with the support of the World Bank, the international standard 7.3 meter wide (flexible pavement) road will be completed in 18 months at a cost of Rs 1,013.61 million.
