WSSCK arranges a public forum for mass sensitization

KOHAT : In order to create public awareness, the Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSCK) organised an event here on Wednesday.

People circle in detail briefed about the Citizens Improvement Project in the sensitization session.

The meeting, chaired by DDAC Chairman Kohat Zia ul Bangash was attended by a large number of elders, social activists, notables of the area and others.

The WSSCK Deputy General Manager Tahir Hafif, Deputy Manager Projects Mian Mohsin Gul briefed the participants on the occasion about all upcoming projects, especially citizen Improvement Project.

Later, the participants of the public forum, including men and women, highlighted the issues pertaining to water supply and cleanliness in the respective localities and informed that the water supply has been reduced by the beginning of summer.

After listing grievances and issues of the public, the officials responsible for the matters said the WSSCK water tanks were not fully filled up owing to hours-long and unscheduled suspension of power supply, because of which, if the water supply commences but pressure remains low.

The Company Deputy General Manager Tahir Hafif, Deputy Manager Projects Mian Mohsin Gul while addressing the public forum said that water pipeline measuring 305km in Kohat city would be replaced along with 34 solarization of tube wells, 11 water tanks and 10 new tube wells to be constructed under KPCIP.

The senior official expressed hope that the water issue would be resolved after early completion of the afore-mentioned projects.

At the end of the public forum, DDAC Chairman Kohat Zia ul Bangash thanked the participants and WSSCK officials and expressed complete satisfaction over the performance of the company and its ongoing project in the city.

He hoped that all projects of WSCCK would be completed in the stipulated period.
