WSSCK awareness sessions about cleanliness, water conservation underway


KOHAT: Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSCK) has continued its awareness campaign regarding cleanliness and needs of clean drinking water among local community and in public sector educational institutions.

According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, the WSSCK in collaboration with Unicef through its mobilizers continued to conduct awareness sessions regarding the importance of cleanliness and needs of clean drinking water among local communities and in government-run schools.

The WSSCK has so far more than 37 awareness sessions in the last month of September during which, awareness was created about cleanliness among hundreds of schoolchildren regarding cleanliness and water conservation.

Besides, arranging sessions in government-run schools, different awareness sessions held with male and female at community level, during which advised the retaining/maintenance of cleanliness, conservation of water and timely payment of water bills.

During the sessions, the mobilizers directed the community and children to adopt precautionary measures for dengue prevention.

Members of the community on the occasion also pointed out issues pertaining cleanliness and water.

After which, the WSSCK mobilizers informed the community about the procedure and method for registering complaints on helpline 1334 and it was being assured to resolve complaints within next 48 to 72 hrs.
