Holidays of operations team, sanitation staff remained suspended during the Muharam: Arif Rauf

KOHAT: Water and Sanitation Service Company Kohat (WSSCK) CEO Arif Rauf, Chief has said that the best services were provided to the mourners during Muharram.

The CEO said the holidays of all operations team and sanitation staff were suspended during the Muharam, according to an official statement issued here on Wednesday.

He, further, said that around 400 sanitation and water supply staff, including officers, participated in special operations during Muharram.

Arif Rauf elaborated that the operations team inspected the routes of mourning processions before and throughout Muharram ul Haram.

The CEO said the WSSCK has carried out necessary repair work on drains

After which the work of repairing the drains and installation of iron grates was started in the civil works, he added.

In addition, the team of WSSC Kohat performed their duties in the field as well as at the command post along with the rest of the line departments.

WSSCK Deputy General Manager Tahir Hafif, Manager Operations, Shahbaz Khattak and Chief Sanitary Inspector Muhammad Sohail supervised all the operations by performing duties throughout the Muharram.

The company senior officials also held meetings with the custodians of different Imambargahs from time to time.

On the request of the Imambaragh caretaker Amjad Ali Shah, an additional pipeline was laid by the water supply staff to supply water to the Imambargah during Muharram.
