PESHAWAR
On the instructions of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, the management of Water and Sanitation Service Peshawar (WSSP) has started operations against the ghost and absent employees. The management has also hinted strict disciplinary action would be taken against black sheep in the company.
In a statement issued here on Friday, the management also said some elements were involved in spreading false and negative propaganda against the WWSP in connection with hiring and firing the company.
“The company has started operations against the black sheep, habitual absent employees and those involved in kick backs. The company has also hired a firm to track-down the violators,” it added.
WSSP reserves the right to take strict disciplinary action against such elements as per prevailing rules and regulations and law.
The management said that in the light of the clear instructions of the Chief Minister and the Board of Directors, the presence of ghost employees will be detected and ensured by the firm so that sanitation and other civic services are provided in a timely manner.
The employees are being given all kinds of legitimate privileges and they have all the legitimate rights, but the work-thief employees have come down on propaganda to achieve nefarious purposes.
In this regard, any kind of pressure and baseless propaganda will not be taken into account.
Through the firm, where such ghost employees, who are sitting at home and taking salary from the government, can be identified, the sanitation situation in Peshawar city can also be improved.
