The Pakistan Peoples Party (United Kingdom) \[PPP (UK)] organized a heartfelt Youm-e-Tashakkur (Day of Gratitude) event in East London to honor the sacrifices and bravery of the people and armed forces of Pakistan. The event was presided over by Mohsin Bari, President PPP (UK), and hosted by Azher Bralvi, General Secretary PPP (UK), in Ilford, London. Over 300 attendees participated, with a notable presence of women and youth.
Distinguished chief guests included Mir Munawwar Talpur (MNA), Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman Overseas Pakistani Foundation, and Mr. Ali Nawaz Malik, Press Minister at the Pakistan High Commission in London.
The speakers list featured Mian Saleem, President PPP Greater London; Raja Iftikhar, General Secretary PPP Greater London; Shagufta Nasreen, VP PPP UK; Anjum Jaral, President Women Wing; Amber Ijaz, Information Secretary Women Wing; Riaz Kamarvi, VP PPP UK; Aftab Baghi, General Secretary Kashmir Committee; Jam Mashooq Jatoi, Information Secretary Sindh; Ashraf Chugtai, senior leader and analyst; Pir Fiazul Hassan, Chaudhry Nisar, Naeem Abbasi, Zubair Gul, Tahir A. Malik, Samia, and Raja Qaiser, VP PPP Greater London.
Speakers highlighted Pakistan’s desire for peaceful coexistence, but expressed deep gratitude to the armed forces for their professionalism and protection during recent hostilities. They also thanked China, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan for their strong international support.
The program featured patriotic songs by professional artists and community members, including a performance by UK-based Pakistani women celebrating unity and prosperity.
In closing, President Mohsin Bari thanked the organizing team: Arif Mughal, Syed Kirmani, Faraz Mastoi, Chaudhry Waheed Iqbal, and Chaudhry Nisar.
The event reflected the overseas Pakistani community’s unity, pride, and support for their homeland.
